A new organization, called Envision Edmonton, has been created in order to collect 80,000 signatures calling for a plebiscite to be held to decide the future of the airport once and for all. Envision Edmonton is collecting signatures and recruiting volunteers at a new website: www.demandthevote.ca

Should Envision Edmonton be successful in this effort, the City of Edmonton would be required by law to hold a plebiscite in conjunction with municipal elections to be held this fall.

It’s a monumental challenge, but we believe if everyone does their part we have a fighting chance. AEG fully supports Envision Edmonton’s plebiscite drive and is urging its members to contribute wherever possible.
